Fan Appreciation Day

Hey Cal Fans,

Tomorrow is Cal's Fan Appreciation Day from 12-2pm. I hope to see you all out there so that I and the rest of the Cal Bears can show a little gratitude! Thanks for being such great fans! Go Bears!

  1. I'll be there with the kids who are really excited to meet Oski. I hope when we see you, they don't freakout!

  2. Hey Mike,
Well, I guess we should all realize you have far, far, far more important things to do than entertain us with football nuggets. I do miss it though.

I hope you and your guys show those supposedly big mean tough Big 10 lineman that we know something about playing football on the West Coast too. Crush them with your technique. Bury them with your desire to win.

Best wishes to you and Go Bears!

  3. What a sloppy game at Oregon!!! Team....no team on that field....there were 11 one man teams out there for the bears....hope this is not another crash like the one a few years ago!!!

  4. I was at the game. I drove 14 hours to see the game. I've been following Cal football since 1986. I can't remember a worse performance. I'm in shock. Let me tell you, the Oregon fans all around me were taking pity at how pathetically my dear Bears played. It was way, way, way worse than the score. Everything we did at every level, was horrible. I'm an optimist, but this thoroughly sucked.

Now having said that, I know there is enough "talent" to play much better. But this is now about heart, and desire, and preparation. Either the coaches and players show this, or oh my gosh, this will be the most disappointing season in Cal history. I'm so bummed I can't go on. Please, Go Bears!

  5. bears came out firing against oregon. i really liked the intensity in the first quarter. a couple mistakes led to a mental breakdown. the crowd was clearly a factor. it always is, but the bears let it get to them. come out with the same intensity againt usc, accept that you will all make mistakes from time to time, and everything will be fine. loosen up. have fun. tedford's a bit of a stiff. get him to loosen up too. you guys are WAY too good to let one stupid game destroy a whole season. i'm flying out from pittsburgh, pa, just for this game. i'm going to be yelling my lungs out. go kick some trojan ass. (and tell ludwig you want riley to utulize his strengths with a few rollouts and some play action passes. go bears!

  6. rough game again, mike, but that catch and run you had was seriously one of the coolest things i've seen in awhile, and took some of the sting away from the game. good luck down at the rose bowl. bring us home a victory.
